Faculty of Animal Science
Program Overview
In 1995, the training program for the Associate Degree in Agriculture began under the name Kampong Cham School of Agriculture. Due to labor market demands in the agricultural sector, the school launched higher education training and was transformed into the Kampong Cham National School of Agriculture in 2001, establishing the Department of Animal Science and Veterinary Medicine.
According to Sub-decree No. 146 ANKr.BK dated September 25, 2019, on the Establishment of the Kampong Cham National Institute of Agriculture as a Public Administrative Institution, the Kampong Cham National School of Agriculture was renamed the Kampong Cham National Institute of Agriculture.
According to Sub-decree No. 81 ANKr.BK dated April 25, 2023, on the Organization and Functioning of the Kampong Cham National Institute of Agriculture, the Department of Animal Science and Veterinary Medicine was renamed the Faculty of Animal Science and Veterinary Medicine, as it remains today.
Vision: To become a leading faculty in education, research, and dissemination in the fields of animal production and animal health, meeting national and international standards.
Mission: To produce capable human resources in the fields of Animal Science and Veterinary Medicine through training, promoting research, technology transfer, and dissemination related to Animal Science and Veterinary Medicine, as well as related sectors, to meet market needs.
Program Highlights
The study program provides training in Animal Science and Veterinary Medicine by equipping students with theoretical knowledge, practical skills, and research capabilities in the field. Key areas of study include animal husbandry techniques, genetics, breeding, feed production techniques, disease diagnosis, treatment, animal welfare, and public health

Establish private veterinary clinics, sell veterinary pharmaceuticals and supplies, and provide veterinary services.
Employment in companies, factories, and private entities specializing in Animal Science and Veterinary Medicine.
Establish personal businesses, such as livestock farms, animal feed production, or depots for selling animal feed and equipment.
Work in public institutions, the private sector, as educators, or in national and international organizations within the fields of animal production, animal health, and related sectors.
Pursue postgraduate studies (Master's degree) in Animal Science and Veterinary Medicine or related fields, both domestically and abroad.
